New York School
"Нью-Йоркская школа"
Направление в живописи, созданное группой нью-йоркских художников-абстракционистов, принадлежавших к разным направлениям, в том числе к абстрактному экспрессионизму [abstract expressionism]. Существовала в 1940-50-е. Среди ее членов - А. Горки [Gorky, Arshile], В. де Кунинг [De Kooning, Willem], Р. Мазеруэлл [Motherwell, Robert], Дж. Поллок [Pollock, Jackson], М. Ротко [Rothko, Mark] и др.
